Sampo nordea shares

On 31 December 2019 Sampo plc held 804,922,858 Nordea shares corresponding to a holding of 19.87 per cent. Shares in Sampo rose 1.5 per cent on Tuesday while those in Nordea were flat. Sampo’s share of Nordea’s net profit for 2020, excluding the accounting impacts of the sale of Nordea shares in November 2020 and the impairment of the holding in Sampo Group’s consolidated accounts 2020, amounted to EUR 429 million (290). The reported loss after these measures was EUR -734 million (290). Sampo plans to distribute an extra dividend in the form of Nordea shares. Sampo plc’s Board of Directors plans to resolve on the distribution of an extra dividend, subject to the authorization by the Annual General Meeting held on 9 April 2019, in its meeting scheduled for 7 August 2019.
